STOP TAGGING ME IN YOUR SONGS!
Unless I was part of the creative process or involved in some way with the song... there’s ZERO reasons to have me or anyone else tagged in your music.
It tells me you have zero respect for my time, space, and brand. It tells me you don’t think enough of your music to put in the time or effort to properly market it so why should I care?
Instead of tagging 999 people in your song or IG clip you need to make a list of people you want to listen. Choose people that are interested and then make a list of people you wish would take the time to listen and then reach out to EACH one of them personally. Actually add some value to yourself and connect with people. You never know what that can lead to. As a business owner, especially specifically in the music field, i check every single message i ever get. I get thousands every day and I take an hour or 2 every single day to read and respond to everything warranted. Why would i do that with everything i have going on?... because I care and understand how strong a real network is.
But StEpHeN I dOnT HaVe TiMe...
1. BULLSHIT. If I have time to run internal operations at a 7+ figure marketing company and handle all client communication while also running 1519 full time you have more than enough time. You just don’t believe in yourself.
2. If you want to correctly reach new people and bigger audiences... PAY FOR ADVERTISING. It is the quickest and strongest way to grow a brand and digital ads are significantly cheaper than traditional. I spend well into the thousands a month in ads and I manage about 20 accounts doing way more than that. I’m not just blowing smoke, I understand how quickly this can change things for an artists, business, etc. (I’ve made my clients over 50 million this year... so you may want to soak in what I tell you)
PS: it’s embarrassing when you tag 100 people in your song and get 12 likes. STOP.
